We’ve worked hard this quarter to come up with innovative ideas to help circumvent supply chain issues and provide high-quality results to even the most unique projects. In doing so, we’ve been keeping an eye on some of the hottest industry trends that we’d like to share with you. Here are the top 4 trends on the horizon for Q2:
1. The Resurgence Of Tradeshows & Events
With the sudden stop of tradeshows and events in 2020, it’s exciting to see the tradeshow and event industry opening back up with so many events coming up in 2022. Tradeshows are becoming hyper-personalized, intentional, and thoughtful and companies are stepping up to the plate to work these marketing trends into their sales strategy — and it’s paying off. On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve seen an increase in turnaround times across nearly every product — from prints to signage to promotional products, no product has been spared. Many of our manufacturers are still not back to their pre-pandemic operations of raw materials and staffing, so the trickle-down effects are having a large impact on our customers. However, if you do have a deadline you need to meet, please let our team know when we are quoting your project. Whether that means looking at other print and signage materials, using another vendor or providing alternative products, we want to ensure you have your project in hands when you need it! We will do our best to inform you of any potential delays in production when processing your project. While we recommend you plan ahead as early as possible, we understand that isn’t always an option. 3. Reduced Availability Of Raw Materials
In a similar vein to extended turnaround times, we are experiencing raw material delays for just about every product PIP Metro Indy sells. Unfortunately, items such as paper, plastic, and aluminum are being restricted through allocations by manufacturers. However, the team at PIP Metro Indy is consistently looking for other vendors or better pricing so we can continue to provide our customers with high quality products. If we’re not able to source your initially requested material, we will work diligently to find other solutions to ensure we provide the product you are anticipating! 4. Environmentally Friendly & Socially Responsible Products
This quarter, we’ve been excited to see many organizations begin to focus heavily on environmentally conscious or socially responsible promotional products, printed materials and signage. These increasingly intentional decisions are great alternatives to the traditional promotional items and are helping build a more sustainable future. In addition to having a reduced environmental impact, we are seeing a shift to more products being produced both locally and in the U.S. rather than being imported from other countries.
